Archer’s Line, The Moon
The Guardian drinks experimental tonic and defeats the Hive
Eido: Thank you for your hard work, Guardian. But if I can’t get these protein chains to synthesize, these experiments may all be for nothing. I’m not good enough. I’m not an apothecary.
The Crow: You just need to step away for a little bit. Clear your head.
Eido: Thanks. But… I can’t. There’s so much to do.
The Crow: I get it. Family is important. The thought of losing them can feel… inescapable. The fear sinks bone deep, makes you desperate.
Eido: What would you do? If you were me?
The Crow: Don’t do what I did. I let a beautiful lie lead me astray. I stopped believing in myself.
Eido: It’s hard to believe in yourself when all you can see are your failures and shortcomings.
The Crow: Yeah. But we all fail. What matters is how we deal with that failure. Who we choose to be in that moment.
Eido: Thank you. I… I think I need to hear that.
The Crow: Sometimes I need that reminder, too.
