The Guardian and their fireteam arrive on Europa.

Exo Stranger: Eramis found it. The Deep Stone Crypt. The birthplace of the Exo… and a prison for something sinister. Her followers intend to make use of it. To unleash a chaos they do not understand. Their success means untamed power beyond their wildest dreams. They must be stopped.

The Guardians defeat the Dark Council Guards and unlock the way forward.

Desolation, Rathmore Chaos, Europa

The Guardians traverse the frozen tundra, surviving the cold using House Salvation heat bubbles to avoid frostbite. The Guardians defeat House Salvation Fallen, Dark Council Guards, and Brigs to proceed forward.

Restricted, Rathmore Chaos, Europa

The Guardians approach the entrance of the Deep Stone Crypt marked with House Salvation banners. The Guardians discover a log recorded by the Exo Stranger labelled "DSC-777-ALB."

Exo Stranger: And so, here I am again — in this damn crypt I told myself I would never return to. But I have to do it. I have to.

The Guardians proceed and enter Crypt Security. The Guardians begin destroying the Crypt’s power system to disable security, as the Fallen attack. The Guardians use the Crypt's Scanner Augment to identify weaknesses in the Crypt's power system. The Guardians use the Crypt's Operator Augment to access the power system's lower chamber.

A Sentinel Servitor appears and disrupts the augmentation terminals. The Guardians destroy the Sentinel. Security shielding lowers, presenting a weakness. The Guardians successfully disable the Crypt's power system. The Guardians push deeper into the Crypt to locate Eramis's followers.

Crypt AI: Crypt power systems compromised. Initiating emergency backup system. Crypt status: Active. Orbital status: Standby. Humanoid lifeforms detected approaching Clarity Control. Threat determined: Crypt compromised. Nuclear descent protocol recommended.

Clarity Control, Deep Stone Crypt, Europa

Crypt AI: Clarity Control breached. A single unregistered Exo and a single lifeform of unknown biology detected in the Crypt Laboratory. Status: Disastrous. Notice: Vacate the premises immediately. This will be your only warning.

The Guardians approach a Veiled Statue and hear whispers coming from it. The Guardians also discover a second log recorded by the Exo Stranger labelled "DSC-777-WIB."

Exo Stranger: Turns out, he had plans of his own. To keep running it himself. Because of course he did.

The Guardians proceed into the Crypt Laboratory and discover Atraks-1 reviving Taniks from a cryopod hooked up to Clarity Control. Taniks emerges, witnesses the Guardians, and attempts to breach the barrier between them. After failing to breach the barrier, Taniks retreats and Atraks-1 summons replications of herself and attacks the Guardians. The Guardians access the launch pods to ascend to the Morning Star Orbital Station.

Crypt AI: Sector reassessment: Orbital platform active. Orbital platform breached. Status: Calamitous.

Multiple Sentinel Servitors appear, disrupting the augmentation terminals. The Guardians defeat the Sentinels. The Guardians use the Scanner Augment to identify which Replication to attack, weakening Atraks-1. The Guardians defeat Replications of Atraks-1, collect their remaining energy, and use the Operator Augment to open airlocks and release the Replications’ energy into space. The Guardians defeat Atraks-1, Fallen Exo.

Crypt AI: Multiple hostile intruders detected within the orbital platform. Orbital confinement protocol initiating. Status: Pathway to nuclear cores obscured. You have no warnings left. Nuclear descent protocol: Initiated.

The Guardians proceed to the exterior of the Morning Star Orbital Station to locate the nuclear contingency chamber.

Crypt AI: Artificial intelligence activated. Enjoying yourselves, intruders? It's worth knowing the cataclysmic damage you will be responsible for today. Do not fool yourselves. This facility is not simply the fruitless work of some pathetic scientist. This house was built by the genius Clovis Bray I himself. Within lies humanity's salvation. La fontaine de jouvence. Made possible by Clarity Control. Magnificent, wasn't it? An entity from beyond our own dimension. And the answer to humanity's eternal struggle: mortality. Were it to fall into the wrong hands, humanity, and the universe, would be utterly doomed. I have no reason to believe you are anything other than "the wrong hands." You now face godlike judgment. May it extend externally.

The Guardians fight through House Salvation forces and witness a House Salvation Ketch and House Salvation Skiffs. The Guardians discover a third log recorded by the Exo Stranger labelled "DSC-777-ANB."

Exo Stranger: Not to worry. I'm taking care of it now. In your memory.

The Guardians discover a fourth log recorded by the Exo Stranger labelled "DSC-777-SCB."

Exo Stranger: I activate this… and it all goes away. [sniffles] Cheers to that.

Rapture, Morning Star Orbital Station, Europa's Orbit

The Guardians discover a fifth log recorded by the Exo Stranger labelled "DSC-777-CLB."

Exo Stranger: I'll set whispers on the wind for any future generations. Tales of the evil Clovis Bray brought forth.

The Guardians proceed to the nuclear contingency chamber. Taniks, Reborn appears.

Crypt AI: Nuclear descent protocol: Active. Utter destruction of Europa: Imminent.

The Guardians begin disarming the Nuclear descent protocol to prevent Europa's destruction. As several nuclear cores begin charging, the Guardians use the Operator Augment to guide the nuclear cores to other Guardians. The Guardians acquire the Suppressor Augment and use it to stun Taniks and unlock the nuclear stations. The Guardians use the Scanner Augment to locate the active nuclear stations. Dark Council Guards appear. The Guardians defeat the Dark Council Guards. The Guardians deposit and neutralize all nuclear cores and successfully disarm the Nuclear descent protocol.

Crypt AI: Nuclear descent protocol deactivated. Orbital collision remains imminent. Clever little rats. I will not forget what you have done here today. Upon collision, the Crypt will be torn open, and all defenses will be destroyed. It is now open to all. Allies and enemies alike. If you do not defend it, the results could be world ending. Humanity's fate is now on you. Best of luck.

Restricted, Rathmore Chaos, Europa

The Guardians survive and emerge from the wreckage of the Morning Star near the entrance of the Deep Stone Crypt. The Guardians approach Taniks's body covered in debris. Taniks, the Abomination appears.

Taniks begins charging several nuclear cores attached to his modified Heavy Shank. Dark Council Guards appear. The Guardians detach the nuclear cores from Taniks's body and use the Scanner Augment to locate the active nuclear stations. The Guardians use the Suppressor Augment to stun Taniks and unlock the neutralizer stations. Taniks creates a field which immobilizes some Guardians. Other Guardians use the Operator Augment to free their teammates. The Guardians deposit and neutralize all nuclear cores.

Taniks summons a shock field. The Guardians enter the shock field and weaken Taniks. Taniks teleports throughout the area evading the Guardians. The Guardians defeat Taniks, the Abomination.

After defeating Taniks, the Guardians collect the spoils of the Morning Star.
