Collect Bait by completing Salvage, Deep Dive, playlist activities, public events, patrols, or by collecting destination materials.
Bait increases your chances of catching higher quality fish. You can see how much Bait you have by looking at the description of the Fishing Tackle in your inventory. You can still fish without Bait, but your catches will likely be of lower quality.
