Lord Shaxx throws up his hands in salutation as you approach. You heft the Falling Guillotine, and see its cruel gleam reflected in Shaxx's visor.
"Now THAT'S a sword!" he exclaims. "I remember the first time I saw a Guillotine. It was just after the Pyramid ships arrived in Sol."
"Of course," the Titan continues, "swords have always been part of the Lightbearer's arsenal, going all the way back to the Dark Age. But they fell out of style around the time the Last City was founded."
He lowers his voice and leans forward conspiratorially. "We were mostly fighting the Fallen in those days. People wanted a bit more range, I suppose."
"But blades are never long out of fashion," he says, admiring your weapon. "They had a renaissance during the Taken War. No more satisfying way to wade through a pack of Thralls, I say!"
"Which reminds me: do pop in on Eris, won't you? After all, she put a Hive god to the blade herself just recently!"
"Hmmm… I haven't had a proper go at a Hive god in an age."
