"I see with unclouded eyes now," Saladin says with a sigh. Though he seems more tired than usual, his hard edges worn down. "My trust was betrayed, and I was led astray."
"Never in my dreams would I have imagined us where we are now." Saladin continues, looking off to the Traveler. "Surrounded by the heralds of the Collapse, betrayed from within, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Fallen." He rankles, just a little, and then sighs deeply.
When Saladin looks away from the Traveler, there is a weight in his eyes. A weight of years. "The war to come may be our last. But we will see it through, together. For our unity is our greatest strength."
